Job Duties::

As an Instructional Designer II working on the Training team, you will be empowered and inspired to do your best work. A typical day for you will include:

  • Managing multiple projects, achieving milestones to meet new training program introductions or program revision timelines, making recommendations as needed.

  • Managing testing review and evaluation processes; incorporate feedback; ensure high quality deliverables Seek professional development opportunities that increase Designer skills and utilization of technology.

  • Managing and executing the creative aspect of training program development under the direction of the Senior/Team Lead/Manager, Instructional Designer.

  • Working with subject matter experts as project manager in development of individual training program goals, overall program objectives and module objectives.

  • Working with training team to determine best formats for online testing tools within or linked to the LMS Learning courses.

  • Collaborating on an on-going basis regarding access and production of graphics for course content.

  • Assessing existing training materials and help build the most appropriate formats and approaches with ongoing development and revisions that drive the business need.

  • Utilizing visual and graphic vendors/Team Lead to secure necessary digital assets.

  • Partnering with voiceover talent resources for eLearning audio production Develop evaluation strategies to collect feedback from learners to validate that learning outcomes are achieved.

  • Working with LMS Administrators on a continual basis to ensure ease of final course loading to the LMS site and ensure smooth access and execution for learners.

  • Managing trouble-shooting aspect of the LMS.

  • Performing all other essential duties as assigned.

Job Requirements::

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in technology, education or communication-related program) is required.

  • Minimum of 2 years current and relevant experience building online e-learning modules and learning products; preferably in the medical or medical device industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working with the Articulate Suite (or other e-learning development platform), developing online training content incorporating video and audio media that can be played on a PC and iPad platform.

  • Strong LMS understanding for course development, upload and management of courses.

  • Ability to developing training guides (instructor and student), classroom materials, tests, QRGs, presentations, etc.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in visual, oral and written form.

  • Ability to apply current research and theory to the practice of instructional design.

  • Willingness to improve one’s knowledge, skills and attitudes pertaining to instructional design and related fields.

  • Ability to apply fundamental research skills to instructional design projects.

The Instructional Designer II will develop and deliver materials for multimedia E-learning products for the Surgical Sales Training program content and tools. On an as needed basis, the incumbent consult with other program departments to determine training needs and other performance enhancement solutions. He/She will work to assist content experts with design and delivery of multimedia training for all educational content to ensure quality learning outcomes while adhering to strict regulatory and legal guidelines. The incumbent will partner with the Marketing, Clinical Services, Training and the existing media and graphic expertise of the Olympus Marketing Communication team.
