Job Title: Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated 1st shift set up machinist for a manufacturer in Southbridge, MA. The successful candidate will work in the CNC department, taking on a variety of responsibilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Work in the CNC department

• Mount parts independently

• Collaborate with toolmakers to create fixtures

• Change tooling and tool paths

• Hand bevel parts

• Set up machines

• Maintain a clean workspace

• Move parts to shipping

• Hand off work to second shift operators

Essential Skills

• Minimum 3 years of machining experience

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities

• Ability to inspect own work with micrometers, calipers, and gauges

• CNC programming skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with mills and lathes

• Light programming and full setup experience

• Knowledge of machining and machine setup

• Experience using micrometers and caliper

Work Environment

You will be working in a large CNC department with a smaller team of about 15 people. The schedule is from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Southbridge, Massachusetts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $54080.00 - $62400.00/yr.
