State of Massachusetts Master's Level - Psychological Assistant III in Southbridge, Massachusetts

The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is looking for a caring, compassionate, and energetic individual who wants a rewarding career making a difference in the lives of those individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder. DDS is seeking a motivated, self-directed and experienced person for the role of* PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSISTANT III for the South Valley Area Office. Our ideal candidate will provide clinical interpretation and guidance to Area Management, Service Coordinators/Supervisors, Risk Management Team and Individual Service Plan teams on psychological matters; participate as member of the Area Management Team in all planning and policy development; provide oversight and review of all public safety and risk issues and chair the Risk Management Committee. Additionally, the Psychological Assistant III will provide training, including staff, inter-agency and provider trainings; oversee special projects as assigned and perform other related duties as required. */_Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_/ * Provide clinical interpretation and guidance to Area Office Management, Service Coordinators/Supervisors, Risk Management Team and Individual Service Plan teams on psychological and risk matters. * Perform assessments of individuals' clinical needs and diagnosis; offer recommendations to Area Office Management and Providers. * Manage crisis prevention and intervention plans; act as liaison with mental health service providers and coordinate referrals to specialty services. * Develop and review risk management plans to mitigate risk and safeguard health and safety of individuals as the Chair of the Risk Management Team. * Assess the quality and validity of clinical services provided by area service providers, make recommendations and develop implementation strategies. * Consult with Regional inter-agency staff in planning and participating i Regional Peer Review of intrusive/restrictive behavior treatment plans. * Maintain documentation and data as required; provide and coordinate training and education of behavior and psychological treatment plans/trends for Area Office and Provider staff as necessary. / _Preferred Qualifications:_/ * Competent in behavioral intervention, applied behavior analysis and other research based methodologies; * Demonstrated knowledge of the interpretation and analysis of assessment and testing results; Diagnosis of intellectual and developmental disabilities, and current trends in the field; * Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD); * Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality; * Thoroughness, independence and excellent written and oral communication skills; * Record of working in multidisciplinary teams; * Proficient usage of Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint _Additional Information:_ Located at the South Valley Area Office- Southbridge, MA.
