The Associate Director of ASC: Disability & Accessibility Services, works as a key leader of the Academic Success Center and serves students with documented disabilities. The Associate Director collaborates with the Director of Academic Success Center in the management of all aspects of the Academic Success Center. With the Director, the Associate Director supports the needs of the Center concerning student services, staffing, promotion, budgeting, communications, goal setting and planning. The Associate Director is responsible for knowing the basic functions and processes of all ASC services and maintaining expert knowledge of ADA student disability services in a higher education setting; acts as an evaluator of student diagnostic reports to determine accommodations is a direct student support, supervises other staff in the provision of assistance and making referrals to campus resources; acts as a campus advocate and trainer to raise awareness of students with disabilities and Universal Design and acts as point person for ADA compliance for student issues. Requirements Master's degree required in Special Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Rehabilitation, Higher Education, Student Affairs or related discipline. Three to five years of directly relation experience. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Demonstrated experience in the interpretation of psycho-educational diagnostic evaluations and data. Multiple years' experience in designing, implementing and monitoring support services for postsecondary students with disabilities. In depth knowledge of disability services, assistive technology, accessibility issues, and training. This is a 12-month full time position. Occasional evening, or weekend work required to attend Open Houses, recruitment events, etc. This position has been designed as forward facing and as such, the incumbent will be required to be immunized against COVID-19 on or before their first day of employment. Proof of vaccination and booster status, or an attestation to the same effect, will be required.
