Our client in Boca Raton, FL has an immediate opening for a Instructional Designer for a long term contract assignment.

Compensation: $29.87/hr.

Hours: Part-time 24 hours per week.

This position is remote. No travel is required.

Description:

  • Review instructional strategy and design document deliverables, and instructional materials for comprehension, consistency, instructional integrity, and grammatical correctness including punctuation

  • Employ proofreading skills to ensure content, materials, and documents created by others are comprehensive, consistent, and grammatically correct

  • Demonstrate attention to quality of instructional materials and deliverables and ensures alignment to client’s branding specifications, editorial standards, and style guides (such as Chicago Manual of Style or the AP Stylebook)

  • Assist in performing front-end analysis in a corporate training environment

  • Research and analyze content from a variety of sources

  • Demonstrate comprehensive writing skills to ensure effective copy and instructional content for all types of learning deliverables and documents

  • Demonstrate ability to design learning including Design Scope Documents, Content Roadmaps, Storyboards and Audio/Video Scripts to client specifications within project limitations (budget, timeline, etc.)

  • Assist in the design and development of instructional material in a corporate and consultative setting

  • Demonstrate ability to adhere to project timelines and scope as well as delivery of materials on time and within budget

  • Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate skills

  • Proofreading and editing skills, i.e. identifying and correcting spelling, punctuation, grammatical or typographical errors in written materials

  • Knowledge of ADDIE instructional design methodology and Kirkpatrick’s 4 Levels of Training Evaluation

  • Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and/or the AP Stylebook

  • Employ strong attention to detail and quality

  • Employ strong people skills, including but not limited to the ability to facilitate meetings and handle both ambiguity and constant change within the team and with the client

  • Work both independently and in a collaborative environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • At least 5 years of related experience
