What you will do…
Our Part Time Skills Instructors are responsible for teaching adaptive daily living skills to individuals with developmental disabilities. This is a great opportunity find work that fits around your schedule and join a fun team who mentor individuals to enhance independence. Successful applicants will be creative thinkers who can adapt their own interests, such as art, music, and health & fitness, to teach individuals new skills.
The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
This is a part-time position with the option to work 2 days, 3 days, or 4 days per week, from Monday through Friday.
You will be required to work a schedule of 8am to 4pm on the days you’ve selected to work.
Pay increase after 1 year of service, pending a performance evaluation.
3 weeks of vacation, 1 week of sick time, 12 holidays.

Participating in the development and direct implementation of curriculum to teach groups in both a classroom setting and out in the community.
Participating in the development and implementation of the Individual Support Plan, writing annual assessments and goals, and attending team meetings as scheduled. Developing and implementing community-based activities that promote personal choice, community inclusion, dignity, and respect while enhancing personal skill development.
Assessing individual training needs, developing descriptive teaching programs and curricula and monitoring effectiveness through data collection.
Providing personal care and assistance to individuals consistent with both their physical needs and defined support plans.
Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma is required, a bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred.
At least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities is preferred. A passion and dedication to supporting our people is a must.
A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check including references, CORI, and fingerprinting.
