State of Massachusetts Contract - Testing Proctor in Walpole, Massachusetts

Duties: * The ability to work in a correctional setting and interact with an adult incarcerated population with possible medical, psychosocial, or educational deficits. * Maintain the Education Division’s Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) waitlist. * Administers pre-tests and TABE exams and HiSET Qualifying exams to inmates inside of a classroom. * Complete all forms and documentation related to testing and all documentation required by the Education Division. * Scores and scans tests appropriately and accurately enters results into the Inmate Date Base. * Compiles and files testing documentation in inmate’s education file jacket. * Assists with inmate education files: may perform monthly purge, process incoming and outgoing files, and update inmate educational documentation as needed. * Schedules inmates for academic testing. * Ability to apply DOC policies and procedures in the workplace. * Expected to interact, collaborate and communicate with staff and inmates in a professional manner while utilizing appropriate boundaries at all times. * Responsible for reporting any security related matters to their supervisor promptly in addition to managing their assigned classroom in a manner consistent with institutional rules and regulations. * Responsible for any other duties as assigned. * TABE certified or the ability to become TABE certified by the System of Adult Basic Education. QUALIFICATIONS: Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of educational tests and assessments. Ability to work with inmates, teaching staff and administration. BA and one year previous experience as an Educational Intake Specialist, Education Instructor. Bilingual a plus.
