Brandeis University Lecturer in Biology in Waltham, Massachusetts

The Department of Biology at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the course BIOL 128, Human Genetics, in the Fall 2022 semester. This course surveys topics about the human genome, reproductive genetics, gene mapping (including linkage analysis and genome wide association studies), molecular methods in genetics and genomics, treatments including pharmacogenetics and gene therapy, and ethical considerations in genetics and genomics. The class meets on Tuesdays and Fridays, 11:10am - 12:30pm. Candidates with a MS or PhD in Biology and experience teaching on the collegiate level will be given preference. Interested individuals should submit a cover letter, CV, a draft course syllabus, and names and contact information for two references. The deadline for first consideration is July 1st. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
