Brandeis University Lecturer in Theater Arts in Waltham, Massachusetts
The Department of Theater Arts at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for the THA 135b Lighting Design four-credit course in fall 2024. This course offers an approach to developing a light plot with an emphasis on lighting mechanics and drafting conventions. Students also develop visual awareness through the study of artistic composition as well as learning a conceptual approach to lighting design. The class will meet on Wednesdays from 2:30 - 5:20 p.m. (this time is flexible). Candidates with a Master\'s Degree, teaching credentials and experience working with college-level students will be given preference. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
