Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in Waltham, Massachusetts. As a Sr. Accountant, you will be expected to provide accurate financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data and preparing reports. This role is primarily within the finance industry, where you will be tasked with various accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting thorough account and balance sheet reconciliations
• Handling bank reconciliations to ensure financial transparency
• Maintaining the general ledger and ensuring its accuracy
• Preparing and posting journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
• Utilizing Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting
• Assisting in month end close procedures to ensure timely financial reporting
• Operating NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and D365 for various accounting tasks
• Ensuring compliance with SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
• Conducting ad hoc financial analysis as required by the management
• Performing financial analysis to assist in business decision making
• Preparing aged reports to track overdue account receivables. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required.
• Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must.
• Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations is necessary.
• Experience with General Ledger management is essential.
• Proficiency in making Journal Entries is required.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are needed.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures is necessary.
• Familiarity with NetSuite software is a must.
• Knowledge of Oracle systems is required.
• Experience with SAP software is a plus.
• Proficiency in D365 software is needed.
• Understanding of SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is essential.
• Ability to perform Ad Hoc Financial Analysis is required.
• Experience in Financial Analysis is a must.
• Proficiency in generating Aged Reports is necessary.
