GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide instruction to students in (CSC120) Computer Programming I: C++ during the Spring, 2019 semester (January 22 through May 14, 2019). Students use projects and teamwork to design, implement, and test programs in C++. Programming style, expression, and documentation are emphasized. Object-oriented programming methodology, graphical user interfaces, debugging techniques, pointers, simple recursion, and string processing are covered. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: Provide instruction in both traditional and non-traditional learning modes. Select and develop appropriate materials for class use. Assessment of student progress versus defined student outcomes. Maintain appropriate attendance and learner records. Requirements: MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: Masters degree in computer science or information technology. ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of CS and IT applications and practices. Work experience in the CS industry. Additional Information: COMPENSATION: Anticipated starting salary - Step I DCE Pay Scale; Part-time, non-benefited, MCCC Unit position.
