Spinal Technology, LLC Custodian in West Yarmouth, Massachusetts

Under the direction of Facilities Manager, keeps the building and grounds clean, safe and in an orderly condition, along with minor maintenance responsibilities. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Requires prior experience in janitorial or custodial services. Must demonstrate a desire to make a commitment to the company and possess appropriate interpersonal and communication skills to interact with company staff and supervisors effectively and cooperatively. Must be available to work extended hours (overtime) and weekends when needed and able to accommodate a change in schedule as needed. Based on production needs, the assigned work schedule (shift) and/or department may change at the discretion of the Director of Operation. Working in another department may be necessary to meet production needs. Training will be provided if any employee is required to work in another department. The duties of this position require the flexibility of bending, stooping, reaching and the manual dexterity to perform the assigned job functions. Required ability to visually review quality of ongoing work as well as move freely from one area to another within the building and outside of the building. Ability to lift materials, up to 50 lbs. Develops a cleaning schedule that supports the day-to-day operation of the company and ensures that activities are performed within prescribed timeframes Performs sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, dusting and vacuuming of hallways, stairs, bathrooms and office space Maintains the production areas in an orderly condition removing scraps, cleaning surfaces and performing other activities that support the smooth flow of the production processes Makes multiple trips to the dumpster emptying barrels and waste material Is available to make necessary trips to obtain materials and/or supplies as needed, using company supplied vehicle Ability to stand and be mobile the majority of the 8-hour shift along with frequent kneeling and bending Ability to safely use ladder for cleaning lights, tiles, pipes and windows Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily Maintains building grounds by performing outside landscaping work in edging, wheelbarrowing mulch, carrying grass, raking leaves, mowing, weed removal and picking up trash and debris Assists in performing minor and routine painting, plumbing (minor electrical repairs) and other related maintenance activities such as sanding, drilling, and projects with power tools Notifies Director of Operations/Facilities Manager concerning the need for repairs to building and/or grounds Participates in the company-wide safety program implementing safety standards with assigned functions Reports unsafe conditions immediately and makes recommendations to improve the work environment Maintains an accurate and sufficient inventory level of supplies and materials Performs other duties as directed by the Director of Operations or Facilities Manager What We Offer You Competitive compensation based on qualifications and experience Outstanding health insurance benefits 401(k) retirement plan with company match, including traditional and Roth options Paid vacation and sick time Company-paid life, disability, and accident insurance We are committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.
