Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented MBA Intern to join our Strategic Marketing Team based in our Westborough, MA office (note: Olympus does not provide relocation assistance or stipends). The intern will play a pivotal role in a high-impact project focused on launching 10 innovative products in the Gastroenterology market. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in product strategy, supplier collaboration, pricing development, and program execution.

Our summer intern program will run from May 19 – August 1, 2025. This is a full-time opportunity involving 40 hours per week at an hourly rate of $30.00.

Job Duties

Our team is responsible for the product management, lifecycle management, and marketing of medical devices used in medical procedures to help surgeons and medical professionals gain access to best- in-class surgical technology and enhance patient care outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Launch Program Development: Contribute to the creation and implementation of launch programs to drive market adoption and customer engagement.

  • Performance Measurement: Support the establishment of KPIs and metrics to evaluate the success of product launches and provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing comprehensive go-to-market strategies, including positioning, pricing models, and promotional plans.

  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify key trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs within the ASC sector.

  • Supplier Collaboration: Work closely with suppliers to align on product capabilities, delivery timelines, and value propositions to ensure seamless product launches.

  • Project Management: Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, sales teams, and suppliers, to track milestones and ensure timely product launches

  • Pricing Strategies: Collaborate with the pricing team to develop competitive and profitable pricing structures tailored to the Gastroenterology market.

Job Qualifications

Required:

  • Must be actively enrolled in an MBA program with a focus on Marketing, Strategy, or a related field

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable plans.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

  • Self-starter with exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred:

  • Experience with data collection, data analysis tools, and/or market research.

  • Interest or prior experience in healthcare, medical devices, or the ASC sector is highly desirable.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and deadline-driven environment.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize/execute multiple concurrent tasks.

  • Strong, professional communication skills.

  • Skilled in presentation development and public speaking.

  • General curiosity and a desire to learn new material.

The anticipated starting base pay range for this full-time position working at this location is , plus potential for annual bonus (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
