The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Lecturer for the fall 2021 semester specializing in Introduction to Chemistry for Nursing and lab (CH 105). This is a foundational course for (primarily) first year students with majors in: nursing, dental hygiene, neuroscience, and exercise science. Classes begin September 7, 2021. 

This course section and the accompanying lab are taught in person on the Weston, MA campus.


  • Lecture: Tuesdays 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

  • Lab: Tuesdays 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm

Essential Functions

  • Teach CH 105-03 (lecture) and CH 105XA-03 (lab) as a synchronous, in-person course and engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching the section and lab: grading, office hours, student engagement, alignment with other course sections, academic assessment.




  • An earned MS in Chemistry; PhDs welcome.

  • Demonstrated evidence of at least three years prior teaching experience (lectures and labs) at the undergraduate level; experience with online/hybrid teaching a plus.

  • Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.

  • Demonstrated familiarity with academic assessment.

  • Familiarity with the learning management system Moodle is preferred, but not required.


Working Conditions/Physical Demands

  • Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.

  • May spend extended periods at terminal, on telephone, or operating other office machines requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
