Adjunct Lecturer - Pathophysiology BI 212

The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Lecturer for the fall 2021 semester specializing in Pathophysiology (BI 212). This is a foundational course for (primarily) second year students with majors in: nursing and nuclear medicine. Classes begin September 7, 2021. This course section is offered in a hybrid modality, with Tuesdays 2:00 - 3:15 pm in person and Thursdays as asynchronous, online. It is expected that anyone hired for this position would teach in person on Tuesdays at the Weston, MA campus.
Teach BI 212 and engage with all responsibilities associated with teaching the section: grading, office hours, student engagement, alignment with other course sections, academic assessment).
Minimum requirement: An earned MS in Biology; PhDs welcome.
Demonstrated evidence of at least three years prior classroom teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Commitment to creating an inclusive classroom learning environment in keeping with the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse educational community.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.
Demonstrated familiarity with academic assessment.
Familiarity with the learning management system Moodle is preferred, but not required.

Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.
May spend extended periods at terminal, on telephone, or operating other office machines requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
