job summary:
The DAM Librarian manages client's US Marketing team's component assets and is skilled at content and digital asset management (i.e. taxonomy, indexing, cataloguing, archiving, metadata tagging, content management systems). Reporting into Marketing Operations, the digital asset management (DAM) librarian strategically manages client's DAM solution Veeva Vault PromoMats which will house creative component assets, including, but not limited to, graphic design elements, photography, video, and digital content.
This role will need to work with client's DAM solution users to support their use and navigation. The DAM librarian will be the first point of contact for the users and will need to work collaboratively to understand their processes with respect to metadata and taxonomy. This requires working closely with client's Marketing teams and agency partners to ensure consistent metadata standards are used. In addition, the DAM librarian is responsible for managing schemas and dictionaries within the DAM system. He/she will help establish process/user management standards, providing oversight of the governance that span client's US Organizational businesses.

responsibilities:
The DAM librarian will lead the alignment of taxonomy across company stakeholders, provide training support and establish and track KPIs. Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Compile and maintain a detailed inventory of existing electronic and print asset for uploading and tagging
Properly select and annotate a large volume of media into the digital asset management system to facilitate retrieval and use in production
Evaluate digital assets for archiving, research rights issues and maintain quality control of archiving operations - Support effective working relationships with client's US Marketing teams, agency partners and cross-functional working relationships
Point of contact for US Marketing teams and agency partners providing updated inventory analysis of all brand assets
In partnership with client's solution Veeva Vault PromoMats business owner, maintain relationship with DAM vendor, specifically on technical support and training issues
Define requirements/criteria for all final assets to be approved for the DAM and communicate to all internal and external business partners delivering final assets
Act as the point of contact for all final assets
Assist in training business team members, in-house creative team and external partners on proper usage and best practices of the DAM system
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED - Experienced in one or more digital asset management technologies - Ability to design systems for tagging images and cataloguing taxonomy - Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software - In-depth knowledge of file formats (print, digital and video)
strong organizational skills - Basic knowledge of talent contracts and rights management - Working knowledge of media usage rights terminology - Familiarity with legal approval processes in the licensing industry - Problem solving and research skills
Project management skills - Ability to work under pressure and to work on multiple projects concurrently - Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills - Demonstrates collaborative and professional work ethic - Willingness to be flexible and respond to quickly changing priorities
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of four years of professional-level experience, at least two of which are in a DAM librarian role
Experience as a digital reference librarian, interface designer, enhanced service provider for digital collections in libraries, or webmaster in libraries and other organizations is a plus
Demonstrated familiarity with metadata standards, communication standards and classifying systems
Two years of experience in records management and in cataloging and classifying materials preferred
strongly prefer candidates with experience in digital archives
Knowledge of Veeva Vault PromoMats system preferred
Broad knowledge of library tools, systems and resources in corporate organizations
Solid technology background, including MS Office Suite software, and familiarity with trends in delivery of electronic information
