Under the direction of the Director of HR, assess, plan, organize, and deliver training activities for the Bank from both a customer service and a sales perspective. Monitoring these activities as well as functioning as a general resource to every area of the Bank for required and/or requested training. Helps ensure an exceptional client experience in all areas through education, skill building, empowerment and employee engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads all training initiatives to support the strategic goals of the Bank. Develop and execute programs for new hires and continuing education for existing employees.
Assess the ongoing product knowledge, policy and procedures, compliance, customer service and cross-selling training needs of the Bank.
Recommend internal and external training courses to enhance and grow our employees’ job knowledge and general banking knowledge; recommend and assign professional skills online courses as warranted. Develop new internal training programs and/or make improvements to existing training programs by working with subject matter experts within and outside the Bank.
Organize and develop training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials.
Review quality of training programs effectiveness annually for revisions.
Assess, coordinate, determine appropriate resources and assist all training programs that cross department lines.
Work closely with the Compliance Officer (and serve on the Compliance Committee) to ensure all compliance training is assigned and properly monitored. Stay abreast of new rules or regulations.
Develop the Retail Trainer on effective techniques for training, such as employee/management development, and adaptations to changes in policies, procedures, and technologies.

5 years of experience in training – Bank training preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; strong managerial, interpersonal, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills; detail oriented and able to execute initiatives quickly and accurately.
Strong presentation skills with an excellent ability to engage the class.
Prior supervisory experience
