Town of Wilbraham Baseball & Softball Umpire in Wilbraham, Massachusetts
BASEBALL & SOFTBALL UMPIRE - PART TIME SEASONAL EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: Under the direction of the Recreation Department, candidate must be able to maintain game management, have effective working relationships with other staff, coaches and the public. Candidate must be familiar and have knowledge of baseball/softball and the game\'s rules and regulations. Games are held weeknights and weekends. Season starts late April and runs into early July. MIN. QUALIFICATIONS: Must be 16 years of age or older. Good communication skills, proven skills in working with the public, physical ability to perform duties, must be reliable and readily accept responsibility. TRAININGS/CLINICS: New candidates will be required to complete full day training programs on Saturday, March 18th and Saturday, April 1st. An umpire refresher course will be offered on March 25th for umpires with experience. Locations and times are TBA. Must be able to run for a protracted amount of time.
