Corporate Development Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Corporate Development Manager will serve as a core member of Advanced Energy’s Corporate Development function to help develop and lead acquisitions & integrations. This position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and collaborate closely with leadership across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support all phases of Advanced Energy’s M&A process from ideation, evaluation, and transaction due diligence to post-close integration work including:
Acquisition target identification, profiling, prioritization and cultivation
Transaction & due diligence project management
Integration planning and project management
Support the identification, evaluation and prioritization of strategic growth platforms for Advanced Energy
Work with corporate finance and champion businesses to develop detailed financial models and transaction approval decks for transactions
Partner with corporate functions and business unit management teams in addressing key deal and valuation issues
Assist in conducting financial due diligence and managing the diligence process for acquisition candidates
Work closely with the members of the business development and corporate development teams to identify and research potential acquisition candidates
Manage the department’s acquisition candidate and contact databases
Communicate with investment bankers to assess acquisition candidates
Undertake and prepare materials for special projects for the executive team and board meetings
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Location: Wilmington, MA.
This is a full-time, on-site position, and may require 25% travel, as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong attention to detail
Strong analytical and modeling skills
Strong track record for managing comfortably with ambiguity and having flexibility with respect to changing situations and differing views
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented culture Ability to communicate with all levels of management including senior executives.
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering plus 3-5 years’ experience in a technical role or Master’s Degree in Engineering
-AND-
2-year MBA from a top 20 business school
COMPENSATION:
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $150,000 - $190,000 per year. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
