Winchester Hospital Paid Clinical Assoc Training Program in Winchester, Massachusetts

Apply now to be considered for our upcoming classes: Apply Today! Clinical Associates work on Winchester?s inpatient floors. They primarily work with nurses supporting patients? individual needs. These needs include taking blood sugars and blood pressures, while assisting patients with activities of daily living. Clinical Associates at Winchester Hospital work a rotating schedule alternating between day, night rotation or day evening rotation in addition to every other weekend in a fourweek period. Applicants must have a strong desire to work hands-on with patients, be empathetic, detailoriented, and have a high school diploma or GED. No previous clinical experience is necessary. Please Note: Applicants must be able to commit to working at least 24 hours/week, up to 40-hours, year-round in order to enroll in the CATP. This is a one year commitment. Also, candidates need to be fully-vaccinated for Covid-19 (2 Covid-19 vaccines, and 1 booster), as well as vaccinated for the flu within the last 12-months. Who is eligible? Eligible applicants must: Have a high school diploma or GED Can work a minimum of 24-hours/week, up to 40-hours, for at least one year of employment. Ability to communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing. Be available to work 12-hour shifts (days and/or nights), that include every other weekend and alternating holidays. Typical shift is 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Eligible applicants who meet the CATP requirements will be considered for the program. Interviews with one of our Nurse Managers will be set up on a first come first serve basis until a class is full. The maximum number of students chosen per cohort is 12. Clinical Associate Training curriculum Winchester Hospital\'s Clinical Associate department has developed a curriculum to teach acute care skills to individuals with no prior experience. The curriculum is taught by Winchester Hospital staff over two-weeks. Participants must be available for the two-weeks of in-person training. NOTE: This is a nursing assistant training program, specifically geared towards working at a hospital. This is not a certification course, nor is a certification required. Clinical Associate Training Schedule (CATP) CA Training Schedule (Week 1 & 2). Classes are held Monday to Friday, 7am-5pm. (Week 1) Classroom and skills training will occur in-person in a classroom setting at Winchester Hospital. (Week 2) Participants will receive hands-on training on an inpatient medical-surgical unit. After completion of training, students will start working as a Clinical Associate in their assigned inpatient Med/Surge departments.
