Job Description:

Future Medical Professionals : "Paid Clinical Associate Training Program" (CATP) at Winchester Hospital

Are you interested in making a career change, or are you a future medical professional looking to gain clinical experience for college? If either is accurate, we are excited to offer a paid " Clinical Associate Training Program" (CATP) to jumpstart your healthcare career. This program is designed for applicants with little direct patient care experience.

Are you taking a GAP YEAR? This program is perfect for college students taking a gap year who need 1,000 to 2,000 hours of clinical experience to apply to graduate school.

Winchester Hospital offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the exciting medical field and get paid. The experience will provide a solid foundation for you as your career grows.

Upon completing the two-week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, "Clinical Associate Training Program," trainees will become part-time (24-29 hours/week) or full-time (30-40 hours/week) Clinical Associates for Winchester Hospital.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • This is NOT a certification program - You are being trained to be a nursing assistant at Winchester Hospital. A certification is not required.

  • This is NOT a summer and/or college break position. To participate in the CATP class, you must work year-round for a minimum of one year.

CATP REQUIREMENTS:

  • Clinical Associates Training Program students must be able to commit to working year-round, a minimum of 24 hours, up to 40 hours per week, once they start working on their assigned units.

  • CATP graduates can not transfer, work less than 24 hours per week, or switch to per diem status during their first year of employment.

  • To be considered for the program, candidates must be able to work as Clinical Associates after training for at least one year.

  • Candidates must be able to attend the two-week training program Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM—5:00 PM, with no exceptions.

  • Applicants must be fully vaccinated (2 Covid vaccinations and 1 Booster).

  • The pay rate is $19.50/hour for applicants without patient care experience. Note: Applicants with direct patient care experience will receive a pay rate based on experience, which the assigned recruiter will determine.

  • All Clinical Associates are required to work every other weekend and alternating holidays. This is a requirement.

  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts (7:00 am-7:00 pm) or (7:00 pm-7:00 am). Employees will be paid shift differentials for evenings, nights, holidays, and weekend shifts.
