Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital, located in Woburn, MA, is looking for a full-time board-certified surgeon to join our expanding team and hospital.
The Job and the Team:
We are looking for a board-certified surgeon, with a minimum of five years? experience, and a special interest and/or advanced training in orthopedics to support our hospital on a full-time basis. We are seeking a team member who has excellent interpersonal skills, desires to be a team player, is interested in expanding/growing department, can accomplish a high case load, and possesses strong time management skills.
Our 36,000 square foot hospital is home to one of the premier level 1 emergency and specialty centers in New England. We offer specialty care in Surgery, Anesthesia, Neurology, Physical Therapy, Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Diagnostic Imaging, Interventional Radiology, Dermatology, and Critical Care, as well as, a busy emergency service. The hospital is supported by approximately 45 veterinarians, 100 veterinary technicians, an in-house diagnostic laboratory with full time clinical pathologist, call center, and a compounding pharmacy.
The surgery department consisting of 5 full time surgeons, is supported by a highly skilled and experienced team of technicians and 2 client concierges; and offers a collaborative dynamic environment focused on elite surgical care and excellent client service.
Our hospital is located just 11 miles north of Boston, a historic and vibrant city, with diverse offerings to meet anyone?s interests, including easy travel to the innumerable scenic points across New England.
Our hospital is well equipped with 5 surgical suites, new LED surgical lighting, and advanced care equipment including a full complement of Stryker and Surgical Direct arthroscopic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic equipment, New Generation locking fracture and TPLO systems, Ligasure, digital radiography with monitors in each surgical suite, OEC 9800 fluoroscopy, Toshiba Aquilion 64 computed tomography and a 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging system.
