Woods Hole Darycare Cooperative Toddler Teacher in Woods Hole, Massachusetts

The Woods Hole Day care Cooperative is seeking a new toddler teacher to join our community of educators, children and families! We seek an individual that can join our team to share their talents and passion for working with young children. Year-Round Job Description Ultimately responsible to the Director and under his/her and Lead Teacher's daily direction. Assists in developing activities and lesson plans for the students. The teacher will supervise children by sight and sound at all times including children awake and sleeping. Preschoolers may be supervised by sound in short intervals as long as they are checked on frequently. Organizes and implements activities and education for the children including Presenting materials and information, teaching and modeling appropriate behavior and life skills, and providing consistent discipline and safe care. Communicates with parents on a daily basis to maintain a friendly atmosphere and flow of information about their child and the program. Consults frequently with the Director and Lead Teacher on activities, children?s records, events, and problems as they arise. Helps with regular classroom housekeeping duties in accordance with EEC Covid-19 regulations. Benefits The Woods Hole Daycare Cooperative does not provide medical or dental benefits at this time. However, we are able to provide: Accruable paid vacation time Paid holidays and snow days Financial support for continuing education Education requirements: You must have a high school diploma if you are under 21 years old. You must have completed a 3-credit college course (from an accredited college) in Child Growth and Development. Work experience requirements: You must have 9 months of supervised work experience To qualify for both infant-toddler and preschool Teacher you must have at least 3 months of work experience with each age group or a supervised practicum (where college credit was earned) with the appropriate age group.
