Worcester Art Museum Studio Programs Faculty Assistant in Worcester, Massachusetts
Job Overview: To provide direct, hands-on support to Instructors in Youth classes. Duties/Responsibilities: \ Regular and reliable attendance and ability to commit to a full session. \ Pre- and post-class preparation, cleaning, and storing of materials. \ Help students who need one-on-one assistance. \ Help maintain safety and discipline in galleries and studios. \ Escort students in groups or individually. \ Proactively work with students, prepare materials, clean, and organize. \ Uphold WAM\'s mission, vision, and values as part of its strategic plan and DEAI initiatives. \ Perform other duties as necessary. Requirements \ Willingness to work with students from different backgrounds and levels of artistic development. \ Communicates clearly and willing to follow directions from faculty. \ Creative, outgoing, and energetic approach to art education. \ An interest in art and/or education. \ Basic knowledge of and ability to work with range of art materials. \ Ability to lift 25 pounds. \ Embraces and promotes diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion initiatives.
